As the sun-drenched capital of the Catalonian region of Spain, Barcelona has much to offer visitors to its city streets. The smaller more regional airports are hubs for low-cost airlines such as Ryanair. Barcelona also enjoys many different rail connections to European capitals as well as regular ferry connections to Genova and Civitavecchia (in Italy) as well as Mahon, Alcudia, Palma de Mallorca and Eivissa.
